Licensed through Indianapolis. Veteran and family owned, just west in Avon.
Speedway is a short drive east of our home base in Avon. From the neighborhoods around Main Street to the streets near the track, we keep Speedway garage doors running.
We come from a racing family. My dad raced a #44, and I raced my own #44, so working in a race town feels like home. When you call, you talk to the owner, and the owner is the one who shows up and gives you the full price before any work starts.
Many Speedway homes are older, and a lot of their garage doors still run on extension springs, the long springs that stretch along each side above the tracks. Newer doors use a torsion spring on a bar above the door. We repair both.
Extension springs. Replaced in pairs, with the pulleys and cables checked and a safety cable through each spring.
Torsion springs. We replace the spring, inspect the cables, drums, and bearings, and balance the door. We size every spring from the manufacturer's spring charts, so it fits your door instead of whatever happens to be on the truck.
Spring conversions. Tired of the old side springs? We can convert your door to a torsion spring for a smoother, quieter, and safer door.
Every torsion spring we install is covered for 3 years, parts and labor.
Openers. If your opener has no safety sensors at the bottom of the door, it is time for a new one. We install LiftMaster openers, including quiet belt drive and wall mount models.
Tune ups. We lubricate the moving parts, check the springs, cables, and balance, test the safety sensors and auto reverse, and tighten the hardware. $69, or $59 total during our fall special through November 30.
New doors. Single or double, plain or with windows, standard or insulated. We measure the opening, help you choose, and install it. See our doors and openers
Yes. The Town of Speedway relies on the City of Indianapolis contractor license, and Bart's Garage Doors is a licensed general contractor with Indianapolis, License GL2600384. We are also bonded and insured, so we can handle repairs and full door replacements in Speedway.
We are based in Avon, a short drive west of Speedway. Call by noon Monday through Friday and we will do our best to be there the same day.
Yes. Those are extension springs, and plenty of older Speedway homes still have them. We replace them in pairs, check the pulleys and cables, and make sure each spring has a safety cable through the middle so a broken spring cannot fly across the garage.
It is worth considering. A torsion spring mounts on a bar above the door, runs smoother and quieter, and is safer when it eventually wears out. We will give you the price for a straight spring replacement and for a conversion, and you choose. If your door is near the end of its life, we will tell you that too, so you do not overspend on it.
Yes. We install single car doors in common widths like 8 and 9 feet, and we can order other sizes. We measure the opening first so the door fits right.
Torsion springs installed by Bart's Garage Doors are covered for 3 years from the install date, parts and labor. Other repairs are covered 90 days on labor and 1 year on parts. The warranty does not cover accidents, misuse, or work done by others.
