Veteran and family owned, a short drive south through Plainfield.
Mooresville is just down the road from us, across the county line into Morgan County. From older homes near downtown to newer subdivisions and houses out in the country, we take care of the garage doors Mooresville families use every day.
Bart's Garage Doors is a veteran and family owned business based in Avon. You talk to the owner, you get the full price upfront, and nothing starts until you approve it.
Is it the spring or the opener? If the opener hums or strains and the door barely moves, or the door suddenly feels like it weighs a ton, it is almost always a broken spring. Look at the bar above the door for a gap in the coil.
We replace the spring, check the cables, rollers, and bearings while we are there, and balance the door so it runs smooth. Whenever the door allows it, we install higher cycle springs so your next replacement is years further out.
Every torsion spring we install is covered for 3 years, parts and labor.
Openers. We repair the opener you have or install a new LiftMaster, including quiet belt drive and wall mount models.
Damaged panels. Backed into the door? We can check whether a matching panel is still made for your door, or help you pick a new one if it is not.
New doors. Steel, insulated, with or without windows. We measure the opening, help you choose a door that fits your home and budget, and install it. See our doors and openers
Tune ups. We lubricate the moving parts, balance the door, test the safety sensors, and tighten the hardware. $69, or $59 total during our fall special through November 30.
Yes. We are based in Avon, a short drive north through Plainfield, and Mooresville is part of our regular service area. Call by noon Monday through Friday and we will do our best to be there that day.
First, check that nothing is blocking the door and that both safety sensor lights near the floor are on. Then look at the springs and cables. If they look intact, you can pull the red release cord and lower the door slowly by hand. If a spring is broken or a cable is loose, leave the door where it is and call us. It is far heavier than it looks.
Sometimes. If your door model is still made, we can order a matching panel. Many older doors are no longer made, and a new panel can cost close to what a basic new door does. We will tell you honestly which way makes more sense.
If the opener is less than about 10 to 15 years old and the problem is a sensor, a gear, or a setting, a repair usually makes sense. If it is older, has no safety sensors, or keeps breaking, a new opener is the better value. We will give you both prices.
Most spring replacements take about an hour, including a full inspection and balancing the door before we leave.
