Indiana's Home Improvement Contract Act (Ind. Code § 24-5-11) applies to home repair and improvement work over $150. For jobs that fall under this law, we will provide a written contract that includes, at minimum: your name and address, the job location, our contact information, the approximate start and completion dates, a description of the work, the total price and payment terms, and signature lines for both parties. A fully signed copy will be provided to you.
Because Bart's Garage Doors LLC does not operate from a permanent storefront, work is generally agreed to at your home — which means most contracts qualify for Indiana's "cooling-off" cancellation right. Under Ind. Code § 24-5-11-10.6, you may cancel a covered home improvement contract, without penalty, before midnight of the third business day after the contract is signed. We will provide a written Notice of Cancellation form with your contract explaining how to exercise this right, and any payment made will be refunded within 10 business days of a valid cancellation.
Emergency service exception: If you request emergency or temporary service (for example, a garage door that won't close and is left insecure) and acknowledge in writing that immediate work is necessary, we may retain payment for the reasonable value of that emergency work even if the contract is later canceled.
We provide a free quote for every repair before work begins, based on the specific job and any parts required. Tune-up service is $69 flat (fall special price of $59 through 11/30/2026). The tune-up price is the total price; nothing is added to it. If we find other repairs your door needs, we will quote them before any work starts, and you choose whether to have them done or keep it to the tune-up only. We offer a 10% discount for active-duty military and veterans. Indiana state sales tax applies to parts as required by law. Call or text with any questions about service in your area. Indiana does not require a state-issued general contractor license to perform home improvement or garage door work. Bart's Garage Doors LLC carries general liability and professional liability insurance.
